We are seeking an AM Shift Supervisor and Server/Baristas for our coffee business! 

1. The AM Shift Supervisor contributes to DOTF success by assisting the store manager/owner in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. This job deploys staff and delegates tasks so that staff members can create and maintain a positive experience for our customers. The shift supervisor should be aware of all new products, promotions, specials, events,  and is responsible for communicating these things to other staff members and shift supervisors at the beginning and/or end of a given shift. Shift supervisors are the primary customer service representatives and are responsible for handling any customer questions or complaints that can not be directly handled by a general staff member. The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with the DOTF Mission and Philosophy.

Primary Responsibilities Include:  

  • Supervises weekday AM shift- typically 7AM to 2PM.
  • Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues. Communicates information to manager so that the staff can respond as necessary to create a welcoming environment during each shift.
  • Assists with new member training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. Provides feedback to store manager on staff performance during shift.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory and ordering all supplies and ingredients for coffee side of business.
  • Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to staff members on shift to ensure operational excellence and to improve performance.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to all customers by acting with a “customer-comes-first” attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs.
  • Develops positive relationships with staff by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns.
  • During shift, directs staff to various workstations to reduce bottlenecks and maintain speed of service. Consistently encourages a culture of speed in all tasks.
  • Ensures staff members meet operational needs and cleanliness standards.
  • Executes store operations during scheduled shifts. Organizes opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Follows DOTF operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all staff during each shift.
  • Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by staff.
  • Follows all policies regarding waste and employee purchases and ensures proper practices are followed by staff.
  • Provides quality beverages consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • ServSafe or TIPS certification required. 

 

2. As a Server/Barista, you contribute to DOTF success by providing legendary customer service to all customers. This job creates a positive experience for our customers by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.  The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with the DOTF Mission Statement and Philosophy.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of DOTF. Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to maintain a clean and comfortable store environment.
  • Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues. Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create a welcoming environment during each shift.
  • Assists with new member training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
  • Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a "customer-comes-first" attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs.
  • Experience in customer service, bartending, or as a barista preferred.
  • ServSafe or TIPS certification not required, but a plus.
