dO YOU SERVE FOOD?

Per current NJ ABC regulations, breweries with our type of license are not allowed to serve prepared food. HOWEVER, you are very welcome to bring in your own food or order in your own food for delivery. We strongly encourage you to support our local restaurants. In fact, we have two restaurants with food available right in our shopping center!

Also, we do sell pre-packed snacks considered “de minimis” by federal tax law. These include things like granola and fig bars, cookies and crackers, small pre-packaged muffins to go with your morning coffee!

WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH THE COFFEE AND BEER THING? DO YOU STOP SERVING COFFEE AT SOME POINT AND SWITCH TO BEER? IS BEER ALWAYS AVAILABLE?

We are the first and only craft brewery and coffee roastery in the state of New Jersey. Death of the Fox has been “grandfathered” in by the state for this unique privilege.

Our freshly roasted coffee, espresso & tea is served ALL DAY- morning through evening to chill and drink in house or to go.

Beer pouring starts at noon every day!

do you sell cans to go?

YES!!! Our cans (32 oz crowlers and 12oz) can be purchased anytime by picking up in our carry-out fridge. We can also pour and seal a can fresh from the tap for you! Cans are available to purchased for carry-out only, meaning you cannot open a can in the tasting room. Again, this is due to current NJ state regulations.

Are kids and teens allowed?

Absolutely. We are very family friendly! Obviously, you need to be 21 or over to drink our beer, however we have plenty of options for kids and teens including our sodas, iced teas, frozen drinks, and of course coffee/espresso for the teens.

do you host private or semi-private events at DOTF?

Oh yeah, we love hosting events for our customers! Examples include birthday parties, wedding and baby showers, class reunions, and corporate happy hours. We also host company and non-profit events. It is the perfect space for your team to relax and enjoy a couple beverages! To request an event, simply fill out a few questions on our event request form.

Do you have outdoor seating?

Yes, we typically have roped-off tables set up on our outside sidewalk weather-permitting. We try our very best to provide an outdoor option if possible especially considering the pandemic.

ARE YOU DOG FRIENDLY?

We love dogs! But unfortunately state regulations and insurance restrictions do not allow us to have dogs inside our tasting room, unless they are service dogs. However, we do allow dogs in our outdoor seating area, weather permitting (see answer above).

are tours required?

Current NJ regulations stipulate that a tour is required for limited breweries like us. The tour does not have to be physical walkthrough however, and there are posters and virtual tour guides all around our tasting room. Our TIPS-certified servers will be happy to discuss the history of DOTF and our unique brewing process. We recommend all guests review our virtual tour.
